Can clients choose their stylist?
Yes. You set up individual calendars for each team member with the services they offer. Clients see all available stylists and their next open slots, and can pick their preferred person — or take the first available. Up to 3 stylists are included on Pro at £39/mo, each extra stylist is +£4.95/month.
How does Avana handle different service durations?
Per service you set the duration (cut 30 min, colour 90 min, balayage 3 hours). Avana automatically blocks the right amount of time and only shows clients slots that fit their chosen service. You can also set buffer time after long services for cleanup.
What happens if a client cancels late?
You set a cancellation policy with a minimum notice period. Clients who cancel inside that window can be charged a fee — for deposit-based bookings, the deposit stays with you on no-show.
Do I need to be tech-savvy to set this up?
No. Setup takes around 15 minutes. You add your services, set your opening hours and share your booking link. If you can fill in an Instagram bio, you can set up Avana.
Can I send re-booking reminders?
Yes, on the Team plan (£69/mo). Set automatic reminders e.g. 6 weeks after the last visit, with a direct link to book again. Hair salons typically see +20-30% rebooking rate from this alone.
Does Avana work in the UK, Ireland and Australia?
Yes. Avana works in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and across the EU. Card payments work in your local currency through Stripe.
What do I pay per transaction?
Card payments run at Stripe's standard processing rate: 1.5% + £0.20 in the UK. Avana adds nothing on top. On a £55 payment you receive £53.97. You can see the exact breakdown for every transaction in your dashboard.
What is the booking fee?
When a client books online, a small £1.49 fee applies — the same way a booking fee works on any reservation platform. It's shown to the client at the time of booking and is non-refundable if the client cancels. It does not come out of your service revenue.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every plan includes a 7-day free trial, no credit card required. You can set up your booking page, add your services and test the full calendar before deciding.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans, no contract, cancel from your dashboard.
