How long does setup take?
Most salons are live within 15 minutes. You add your services, set your availability and share your booking link. There's nothing to install — everything runs in the browser.
Can I switch from Fresha, Vagaro or Square?
Yes. Export your client list as a CSV from any platform and import it into Avana. We help free of charge with the import and the switch message for your loyal clients via Instagram and SMS. Migration typically takes 30 minutes.
Do clients need to download an app?
No. Clients click your booking link, see your availability and book directly in their browser. No app, no account, no friction.
Can I take deposits for longer treatments?
Yes. Per service you set a deposit amount. If the client doesn't show, you keep the deposit. Standard on Pro and Team plans.
What do I pay per transaction?
Card payments run at Stripe's standard processing rate: 1.5% + £0.20 in the UK. Avana adds nothing on top. On a £55 payment you receive £53.97. You can see the exact breakdown for every transaction in your dashboard.
What is the booking fee?
When a client books online, a small £1.49 fee applies — the same way a booking fee works on any reservation platform. It's shown to the client at the time of booking and is non-refundable if the client cancels. It does not come out of your service revenue.
