Recognise this?
Your salon's reputation is yours. Treatwell earns from it every time a client books.
Your clients book on Treatwell, not on your page
Clients see your profile in the Treatwell marketplace alongside competitors in the same street. They identify with the marketplace, not with your salon brand. With Avana, clients land on your own booking page on your own link. Your brand is at the centre.
Commission on every 'new' booking
Treatwell takes a percentage on every new-client booking the marketplace generates. For an established salon already getting clients via Instagram and Google, that commission funds visibility you don't actually need.
Your reviews live on Treatwell
Years of reviews build up on the Treatwell platform. Leaving the platform means leaving the reviews. Avana lets you collect reviews on your own Google Business profile so they belong to you, not to a marketplace.
These are not features — these are the things that change in your daily salon life from day one.
Clients book around the clock
They see your availability and pick their time, even at night and weekends. You only get the confirmation in your inbox.
Up to 80% fewer no-shows
Every appointment gets an automatic email and SMS reminder at 24 hours and 2 hours before. Clients stop forgetting you.
Keep 100% of your service revenue
Avana takes no commission on your bookings. You pay a flat monthly subscription from £12. Card payments run at Stripe's standard rate with nothing added on top. A small booking fee applies to your client when they reserve online.
One link for your bio
Drop it in your Instagram bio, send it via SMS or print it as a QR on your business card. Clients book directly, no account required, no app to download.
Deposits that protect long appointments
For longer or pricier services, take a deposit automatically at booking. If the client doesn't show up, you keep the deposit.
Client records that stay with you
Phone numbers, emails, treatment history, photos and notes — all in one place. Not on a marketplace. With you, exportable any time.
Treatwell has strong points, especially when starting from zero and needing marketplace visibility. Avana fits better once you have a base of loyal clients and want to keep control of brand and pricing.
Some salon platforms take a 20% marketplace commission on every new client they send you, or charge a per-staff fee on top of the subscription. Avana doesn't. 0% commission on bookings, up to 3 stylists included on Pro, and 100% of your service revenue stays with the salon. A small booking fee applies when clients book online · the same way any ticketing or reservation platform works. Card payments run at Stripe's standard rate of 1.5% + £0.20 · Avana adds nothing on top. Plans from £12 per month.
Solo
Solo stylists who want bookings, reminders and client records without the admin.
Card payments run at Stripe's standard rate of 1.5% + £0.20 per transaction. On a £55 payment you receive £53.97. Avana adds nothing on top.
FAQ
Questions about Treatwell and Avana.
What's the difference between Avana and Treatwell?
Treatwell is a marketplace: clients search and compare salons within Treatwell, you pay commission per booking. With Avana you have your own page on your own link, in your style. Clients book directly with you. No comparison with competitors, no commission, flat monthly subscription from £12.
Will I lose visibility if I leave Treatwell?
Treatwell's marketplace sends mostly new clients. Most established salons get the bulk of their bookings from Instagram, Google and word of mouth — channels you control. Replacing the marketplace traffic typically means putting more energy into your Google Business profile and Instagram, both of which work without a percentage on your bookings.
How do I cancel Treatwell?
Cancellation runs through your Treatwell partner portal. Tip: keep a screenshot of your cancellation request with the date. Meanwhile you can start with Avana on the 7-day trial and let your loyal clients know your new direct booking link.
Can I take my Treatwell clients with me?
Treatwell does not give you a full client export. What works: send your loyal clients a message via Instagram, SMS or email with your new Avana booking link. Most salons see their clients booking direct again within a week.
When is Treatwell still the right choice?
If you're a brand-new salon with no Instagram following and no Google presence, Treatwell's marketplace can give you visibility in the first months. Once you've built a base of repeat clients, the per-booking commission becomes more expensive than Avana's flat plan.
What is Stripe and why does Avana use it?
Stripe is a global payment processor used by Shopify, Amazon, Lyft and millions of businesses to take card payments. Avana plugs into Stripe so your clients can pay by card on your booking page · money lands in your bank account directly from Stripe, not via Avana. We pass Stripe's rate through 1:1 with 0% added.
What do I pay per transaction?
Card payments run at Stripe's standard processing rate: 1.5% + £0.20 in the UK. Avana adds nothing on top. On a £55 payment you receive £53.97. You can see the exact breakdown for every transaction in your dashboard.
What is the booking fee?
When a client books online, a small £1.49 fee applies · the same way a booking fee works on any reservation platform. It's shown to the client at the time of booking and is non-refundable if the client cancels. It does not come out of your service revenue.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every plan includes a 7-day free trial, no credit card required. You can set up your booking page, add your services and test the full calendar before deciding.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans, no contract, cancel from your dashboard.
