Treatwell's marketplace sends mostly new clients. Most established salons get the bulk of their bookings from Instagram, Google and word of mouth — channels you control. Replacing the marketplace traffic typically means putting more energy into your Google Business profile and Instagram, both of which work without a percentage on your bookings.
Cancellation runs through your Treatwell partner portal. Tip: keep a screenshot of your cancellation request with the date. Meanwhile you can start with Avana on the 7-day trial and let your loyal clients know your new direct booking link.
Treatwell does not give you a full client export. What works: send your loyal clients a message via Instagram, SMS or email with your new Avana booking link. Most salons see their clients booking direct again within a week.
If you're a brand-new salon with no Instagram following and no Google presence, Treatwell's marketplace can give you visibility in the first months. Once you've built a base of repeat clients, the per-booking commission becomes more expensive than Avana's flat plan.
