Booking and paying take care of themselves
Members book and buy their next pack on their own phone, whenever it suits them.
You teach, the rest takes care of itself. Booking, payments and class packs run on their own, and every member's classes sit on one card.

Avana Studio is class booking software for Pilates studios in the UK. It runs mat and reformer classes with a cap per class, a waitlist, class packs that count down and monthly memberships. Studio costs £17.99 a month, Studio Plus £35.99 and Studio Max £65.99, all VAT included, with 0% commission, no setup fee and a 7-day free trial.
For each member you see which classes they took, what's left on their pack and what has been paid. You know your small group, even as it grows.
Members buy a pack or membership and book their regular class themselves. A class comes off each time, and when the pack is nearly used up the member gets a nudge to buy the next one.
When someone drops out, the first person on the waitlist hears about it straight away. Your small group is complete again before you've noticed.

Add your mat classes and your class pack, then share your studio page. From then on, members book themselves.
With only a handful of mats, every spot counts.Avana makes sure each one is booked and paid for, and that your members keep coming back.

Nothing comes off your price. Members who book online pay straight away, and the money lands in your own account.
When they book, members pick a spot on a map of your room. Whoever always takes the front by the mirror keeps it, and the class never overbooks.
Which class fills up, how many trial classes turn into members and where an extra class would work.
Sell gift cards and an intro offer. Whoever gets one books a class with you on their own.
Your timetable is open months ahead. Members with a membership book their regular classes straight away, and the membership is charged every month.

One look tells you who's coming today and what has come in. Members book, cancel and buy a new pack on their own phone, and your timetable is always up to date.
Rather not use an app? Booking works just as well in the browser on their phone.

Yes. Avana runs month to month, with no annual contract and no exit fee. After you cancel, everything keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for. You start with a 7-day free trial and only pay if you stay.
Avana imports your members and their remaining credit from a CSV or Excel export of your current system, and we help you for free. Each member gets a pack with the classes they had left and its expiry date, and carries on booking straight away.
Yes, Avana puts mat and reformer Pilates on one schedule. A mat class gets as many spots as you have mats, and a reformer class as many as you have machines. You choose per class how many credits it takes from a pack, so a single class pack works for both.
Yes. With Studio Plus or Studio Max, members check in at the door with the QR code in their app. They hold their phone up to a tablet and are marked as present straight away, and you see in the app who is there without a paper register.
Yes. You sell class packs with an expiry date you choose, drop-ins and a trial class each member can buy once. Memberships with a set number of classes a month, or unlimited, are charged every month. All of that comes with every plan.
Yes, every Pilates class in Avana gets a level and its own cap, from 1 to 200 spots. A beginner sees at a glance where to start. You can change the number of spots for a single date too, for example a smaller group on Saturday morning.

Then Avana was built with you in mind: booking software that keeps track of your regular groups so you can focus on teaching. A Pilates studio runs on a small number of mats, set times and members who come back every week. Pilates software needs to sell each spot once and tell you exactly who is coming.
Start with your schedule. You want to create a class once and have it repeat every week, with a cap on each one. In Avana you set that cap yourself, from 1 to 200, and adjust it for a particular date: a smaller group on Saturday morning, an extra mat on Tuesday. Give each class a level too, from beginner to advanced, so a newcomer doesn't land in your hardest class by mistake.
Your member records then keep themselves up to date. Each member has one card showing the classes they booked, what's left on their pack and what they've paid. No spreadsheet on the side.
Plenty of Pilates studios start on the mat and add a few reformers later. In Avana both kinds of class share one schedule. A mat class gets as many spots as you have mats, a machine class as many as you have reformers, and you decide how many credits each one costs. A reformer class can take two credits and a mat class one, from the same pack. For the details of running a studio with machines, see reformer Pilates software.
In small groups, the popular evening class fills up fast. Avana never lets more members book than there are spots, and with a waitlist a cancellation turns into a new booking: the first person waiting is offered the mat. You choose how many hours before class someone can cancel without losing it; cancel later and the class comes off the pack. At the class you tick off who is there, so you can see who often doesn't show.
In Pilates the ten-class pack is the classic: ten classes, an expiry date, and each booking takes one off. Avana uses whichever pack expires first and lets members see their own credit. Regulars who come every week get a membership that's charged every month. Someone who has never been to you buys a trial class once and picks the class in the same step.
When you compare software, look at commission and the contract as well. Avana is a fixed monthly price, with no commission and no annual contract, and members book in their browser without an app. You'll find what each plan costs further up this page. Teach yoga as well? Have a look at yoga studio software. Everything side by side is on the studio software page.
Most new members of a Pilates studio start with a single class. What happens next decides whether they come back. In Avana a newcomer buys the trial class and picks a mat class in the same step, so there's no back-and-forth by email. After the trial class, the member gets a message with the next step, such as a five- or ten-class pack.
Studio Plus takes it further. After their first class a new member gets a warm welcome, and when only one class is left on the pack a nudge follows to buy the next one. Insights show you each month how many trial classes turned into regulars, so you know whether your intro offer works.
Pilates takes a few months to show results, and your members know it. Even so, some drift off without a word. Avana keeps track of when someone last came, and on Studio Plus a member who stays away for a few weeks gets an invitation to book again. Add a discount code if you like.
Each member's card tells you at a glance whether they're new, wavering or have a payment outstanding. So over a cup of tea after class you know exactly who could do with some attention. Avana's member management keeps all of that in one place.
As a studio grows, an instructor often joins and sometimes a second room. Studio Plus covers up to three instructors, each with their own login that shows the schedule and who is booked, and nothing about your revenue. Add your rooms and Avana never plans two classes in the same room at once.
If an instructor can't make a class, you ask for cover from the class view and whoever is free first takes it. Avana tracks every instructor's hours on every plan, with a rate per class, per hour or per head, so paying your team at the end of the month is a matter of copying the numbers.
Using another system now? Bring your members with the credit they have left. You export a CSV or Excel file, Avana reads the columns and shows you what it will create, and each member gets a pack with their remaining classes. We'll help you for free. Coming from Mindbody?
