Avana is studio software that puts all your locations and rooms on one schedule, with no double-booked rooms and the right address in every email. A second site or an extra room is a big step: more classes, more members and more revenue. It also makes the admin harder. Two schedules side by side, a member at the wrong door, or two instructors wanting the same room at once. With the right system you barely notice.
When a second room or site pays off
The best reason for more space is a schedule that's already full. If your evening classes have a waitlist every week, there's demand you're turning away. Look at where members come from, too. If a good share travel from the other side of town, a second site closer to them may earn more than another class at your current address.
Start small. A second room at your own address is often an easier step than a second building. And a regular class in a school hall, community centre or park can already be a second location, without the rent of a full studio.
One schedule, or one per location?
Plenty of studios with two addresses run two separate schedules, sometimes in two different systems. It looks tidy but doubles your work. A member with a pack wants to book at both, and you want to see your whole week at once.
So choose one schedule where every class knows where it is. Members filter by their own site, and you see everything together or by location. In Avana, from two locations onwards, a row with All locations and each site appears above the schedule on your page and on your own view. Read more about the online class schedule.
Setting up rooms: what to watch for
A room is more than a name. It holds a set number of people and has equipment in it: reformers, mats, bikes or a barre. Record that once, so a class in that room never gets more spots than exist.
The biggest risk with two rooms is a double booking: a regular class you set up months ago and a workshop you're squeezing in now. In Avana a class in an occupied room won't save, and you see straight away what's there. A class that starts right after is fine. With reformers or bikes in fixed places, Studio Max also lets members pick their spot on a map of the room.
The address: a small mistake with big consequences
A member at the wrong location misses the class and goes home disappointed, even though it wasn't your fault. Make sure the address is right in three places: on the class on your page, in the booking confirmation and in the reminder before class.
Avana handles that for you. Every class knows its location, and member emails show that location's name and address under Where. If a room moves to another site, its classes and upcoming dates go with it.
How it works by type of studio
A reformer studio often has a reformer room and a smaller room for mat and privates. A yoga studio with two addresses in the same city wants members to book both with one pack. A bootcamp trains in several parks, each with its own meeting point. A dance studio runs several rooms at once. In every case the same things help: one schedule, rooms that are never double-booked and an address that's right in every email.
