Everything about Avana
Avana: online booking software with no commission for salons and studios
Avana is online booking software for independent salons and studios. Clients and members book and pay for their appointment or class on your own booking page, Avana sends the confirmation and the reminder, and you see it all in your online calendar or timetable. You pay a fixed price a month and never a percentage of your revenue.
Below you can read what Avana is, who it is made for, what each plan includes, what it costs, how it differs from a booking platform that takes commission, and how to switch. Would you rather see what it does for you straight away? Try Avana free for 7 days.
What is Avana?
Avana is booking software that makes your business bookable online around the clock. You get your own booking page with your name, your logo, your services or classes, your prices, your photos and your opening hours or timetable. Share the link in your Instagram bio, in messages, on your Google profile and on your website, or put the booking widget straight onto your site. Whoever taps it sees when you are free, picks a time and pays.
Behind that page sits complete salon software: a calendar that blocks double bookings, automatic reminders by email and text, card payments with Apple Pay and Google Pay, client cards with history and notes, and automatic invoices with an export for your accountant. You run it on your computer and on your phone, even between two clients.
Booking software for every kind of salon
Avana is made for the business where the owner is on the floor. There is no receptionist to answer the phone, so every appointment a client books themselves is one less call between two treatments. Each trade has its own settings and examples:
- Booking software for hair salons: cuts, colour and treatments with the right length and breaks in between.
- Booking software for barbers: quick bookings per chair, on the day as well.
- Booking software for nail techs: gel polish, BIAB and infills, with a deposit against no-shows.
- Booking software for beauty salons: treatments with intake questions and consent up front.
- Booking software for massage therapists: calm planning with time between clients.
- Booking software for lash artists: new sets and infills booked separately.
- Booking software for tattoo studios: consultations and sessions with a deposit.
Studio software for group classes
Since October 2026 Avana also works as studio software for studios that run group classes. Members book a spot in your timetable, buy a class pack or start a membership that renews by itself. When a class is full, a waitlist opens, and members have their own app to book and cancel their classes. You see who is coming, who has stayed away and whose pack is nearly used up.
- Pilates studio software for mat and reformer classes.
- Reformer pilates software where a member can choose their own reformer.
- Yoga studio software for a full timetable with regular groups.
- Barre software for class series and drop-in classes.
- Dance school software for seasons, children and parents.
- Bootcamp software for outdoor sessions with a maximum per trainer.
Why booking software with no commission?
A booking platform with a marketplace can bring you new clients, but it charges a percentage of your revenue for it, often on the first booking of every new client. That client then tends to keep booking through the platform, where the salons around the corner are shown right next to you.
Avana works differently. Your clients book on your page, under your name, and their details belong to you. You pay the same every month, however full your calendar or your classes get. Read more on our mission, or see how Avana compares with other systems.
If a client or member pays online, a small service fee covers the card processing. It is part of the price they see from the start, and your own price stays entirely yours. Paying in person adds nothing.
Fewer no-shows, more revenue
An empty chair or an empty spot costs money. Avana helps in three ways: automatic reminders before the appointment, a deposit or payment up front, and a waitlist that offers a freed-up spot straight away.
More revenue from the clients you already have comes from discount codes, gift cards, your own product shop, workshops and group appointments and a rebooking reminder when the next visit is due. To reward regulars, switch on the loyalty card, which comes with every plan.
What does Avana cost?
Avana has a fixed monthly price, VAT included, and you can cancel any month. For salons: Business at £15.99, Business Plus at £28.99 and Business Max at £55.99 a month. For studios: Studio at £17.99, Studio Plus at £35.99 and Studio Max at £65.99 a month. An extra team member or instructor is £5.99 a month. Every amount and what each plan includes is on the pricing page.
Sell your own courses with Avana Academy
If you teach as well as treat, sell your courses through Avana Academy: sign-ups, payments, practical days in the same calendar and a certificate at the end. Avana Academy is included in Business Max and can be added to the other plans.
Avana in the UK
Avana was built in the Netherlands and also works in Belgium, Germany, the UK and the US. Your booking page, the emails to your clients and the way they pay suit the country you work in. In the UK, prices are in pounds and clients pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Switching to Avana
If you use another system today, a platform, or messages and a paper appointment book, you can set Avana up alongside the way you work now. Import your client list as a file and send your regulars one message with your new booking link. How that works in a few steps is on switching to Avana.
How do you get started?
Create an account in a few minutes, add your services or classes and set your opening hours or timetable. Then share your link. The first 7 days are free and you do not need to enter payment details. Who Avana is made for is on who it is for, and why we build it is on our mission.
