Yes. Avana runs month to month, with no annual contract and no exit fee. After you cancel, everything keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for. You start with a 7-day free trial and only pay if you stay.
Avana imports your members and their remaining credit from a CSV or Excel export of your current system, and we help you for free. Each member gets a pack with the classes they had left and its expiry date, and carries on booking straight away.
You choose how many hours before class a member can cancel without losing it. Cancel in time and the class goes back on their pack, and the first person on the waitlist is offered the spot; if they don't take it, it moves on to the next. A late cancellation counts as used.
Yes, barre, Pilates and yoga sit side by side on one timetable in Avana, each with its own instructor and number of spots. You choose per class how many credits it takes, so one pack can cover everything you teach, and members see what comes off as they book.
Your Avana studio page lists all your barre classes and can be found through Google and AI assistants such as ChatGPT. A newcomer buys a trial class there once and chooses a class in the same step. With Studio Plus or Studio Max, they get a welcome after their first class.
Yes, Studio Plus lets you sell your own products, such as barre socks, a tote or a bottle with your logo. A member orders online and collects the order at the studio, and a discount code lets you run a promotion on top.

Avana suits barre, a short and intense class that mixes ballet, Pilates and strength work through small movements. You teach a set group at the barre, often with a ball, a band or light weights. The number of spots is fixed, so barre software mainly has to sell each spot once and tell you beforehand who is coming.
A timetable of regular classes that repeat every week and can be booked months ahead. A cap per class that's never exceeded, even when two members want the last spot at once. And a level for each class, so someone new to barre knows where to start. In Avana all of that lives on the class itself: name, description, length, level, instructor and number of spots. If you use a ball, a band or light weights, mention it in the description so a newcomer knows what to expect.
Barre members often come on a five- or ten-class pack. Good software takes a class off with every booking and uses the pack that expires first. Members can see what's left themselves, so there's nothing to keep track of at the front desk.
For many people barre is new. A trial class lowers the threshold: in Avana each member can buy one at your studio and choose a class in the same step. For those who want to stay, your packs and memberships are on the same studio page.
The class after work fills up fastest. With a waitlist, a cancellation becomes a new booking: the first person waiting is offered the spot, and if they don't take it, it moves on to the next. With a cancellation window you choose, a late cancellation counts as used. Check-in also shows you how often each member missed a class over the last three months.
When you compare, look at three things. Does the provider take commission on your class price? Are you locked into an annual contract? Do members have to install an app first? Avana is a fixed monthly price with no commission and no annual contract, and members book in the browser using a code sent by email. What each plan costs is shown in the pricing block.
Teach mat classes or yoga next to barre? See what Avana does for a Pilates studio or a yoga studio. Every type of studio is side by side on the studio software page.
A barre class has only a handful of spots, so one cancellation matters. In Avana a free spot goes to the first person on the waitlist, and if they don't respond in time, to the next. That comes with every plan. You choose how many hours before class a member can cancel at no cost, and anyone cancelling later loses the class from their pack.
On Studio Plus you tick off at the class who is there. No-shows appear on the member's card, so you spot a pattern before it empties your classes.
Many barre studios teach Pilates or yoga as well. In Avana those classes share one timetable, and for each one you decide how many credits it takes. That way you sell one pack for everything, and a member sees right away what comes off. Members who prefer to come regularly choose a membership charged every month.
Barre grows by word of mouth. On Studio Plus every member has their own link to bring a friend, with a discount for the friend and classes of credit for your member. Gift cards sell on your studio page, for an amount or a pack, and whoever receives one books a class themselves.
An intro offer, such as three classes at a friendly price, can be bought once per member. Avana enforces that, so you don't have to keep an eye on it.
Your members move across with the credit they still have. A CSV or Excel export is all it takes: Avana adds each member with the classes left on their pack, and we help you set everything up for free. Then you share your studio page and members carry on as if nothing changed. Coming from Mindbody? Here's how switching from Mindbody works.
Your studio page shows who you are: your classes, your instructors, your prices and what members think of your classes. It can be found through Google and AI assistants, and you share the same link in your Instagram bio. A new guest books a single class or trial class there without an account, and regulars sign in with a code by email. So you don't need to maintain a website to be found online.
Barre runs in small groups, so the system has to guard the number of spots at the barre and refill a cancellation straight away. Avana does that from £17.99 a month, VAT included, with packs that count down, memberships and a waitlist on every plan, and no commission.
Yes. They sit on one timetable, each class with its own instructor and spots, and you decide per class how many credits it uses. One pack can then cover everything you teach.
New members find your studio page through Google and AI assistants and book a trial class right away. On Studio Plus, members bring friends through their own link, you sell gift cards and you offer an intro deal that can be bought once per member.
| What to look for | Why it matters | What Avana does |
