Avana Studio is booking software for personal trainers and PT studios in the UK. Clients book small-group sessions on the schedule and private or duet sessions at times the trainer is free, paid upfront or from credit. Studio costs £17.99 a month, Studio Plus £35.99 and Studio Max £65.99, all VAT included, with 0% commission, no setup fee and a 7-day free trial.
You give each member a goal with the steps towards it, and they fill in a short check-in every week. On Studio Max you see who is on course and who needs a nudge.
Each trainer lists the times they're free. A member picks one and pays straight away, and a training partner books the same slot for a duet.
Small group training runs on a handful of fixed places. If someone drops out, the waitlist gets the offer automatically.

Yes. Avana runs month to month, with no annual contract and no exit fee. After you cancel, everything keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for. You start with a 7-day free trial and only pay if you stay.
Avana imports your members and their remaining credit from a CSV or Excel export of your current system, and we help you for free. Each member gets a pack with the classes they had left and its expiry date, and carries on booking straight away.
You choose how many hours before class a member can cancel without losing it. Cancel in time and the class goes back on their pack, and the first person on the waitlist is offered the spot; if they don't take it, it moves on to the next. A late cancellation counts as used.
Yes. A small group goes on your timetable as a session with a low cap, on every plan. For private and duet sessions on Studio Plus, each trainer lists their free times, and a member picks a slot in the coming weeks and pays straight away.
Yes, on Studio Max you give each member a goal with steps and measurements in Avana, and they complete a short check-in every week. You share a plan or programme in the member's app, so they keep working between sessions. Nutrition plans stay in your own tool.
Yes, on Studio Plus you add several locations, such as your studio and a regular spot in the park. You choose the place for each session and each trainer, and the confirmation and reminder carry the right address. A client's home can't be set as a location.

Avana is personal trainer booking software for coaches who are done running their diary by phone. You train people one-to-one, in pairs or in a small group, and every client wants a time that suits them. Software for personal trainers needs to do two things: put regular small groups on a timetable, and let clients pick their own time for individual sessions with a trainer who is free.
In Avana a small group is a session with a name, a length, a level, a trainer and a low cap, say four places. A weekly small group is laid out months ahead. When it's full, a member joins the waitlist, and when a place opens up the first person on the list is offered it.
Members book with a pack, a membership or a single session. Someone who trains twice a week takes a membership charged to their card every month. Someone who comes now and then buys a pack with an expiry date you choose.
On Studio Plus each trainer sets their availability for private sessions, day by day. A member picks a time in the coming weeks and pays at once, or books from a pack. A trainer can't be booked twice for the same time, and a slot that has just been taken disappears straight away. You decide whether start times fall every quarter or every half hour, and private sessions are booked at least an hour ahead.
For a duet, the second person books the same slot. If two people always train together, Studio Plus lets them share one pack or membership, and you see who used which session. When someone cancels in time, the slot opens up for someone else.
You want to know who you'll be training. On Studio Plus a new member fills in a short health questionnaire at their first booking, with yes-or-no questions and a few open ones, such as their goal. You and your trainers see the answers on the member's card, and they never go into an email or an export.
House rules, such as cancelling in time or bringing a towel, can be added on Studio Plus, and a new member accepts them at their first booking. Goals, check-ins and a training programme per member live in coaching on Studio Max. Nutrition plans stay in whatever tool you use now.
If you work with other trainers, each one has their own login on Studio Plus and sees their own timetable, without your figures. Studio Plus has room for three trainers, Studio Max for as many as you like. Avana records the sessions and hours each trainer delivered, for the pay run you handle yourself. The app shows who's coming each day, so between two clients you know who's next.
Train in your studio and at a regular outdoor spot? Add both as locations on Studio Plus. You choose the place for each session, and every email has the right address.
Many personal trainers sell a pack of ten or twenty sessions. In Avana you choose how many sessions a pack holds and how long it lasts, from a week to two years. Every booking takes one off, and the member sees in their account how many remain.
For someone who trains at the same time every week, a membership fits better: a set number of sessions a month, charged automatically. On Studio Plus you set a minimum term, and if a member goes on holiday you pause the membership.
If an employer wants to pay for a few staff members' training, Studio Max lets you set up a corporate membership. The company gets one invoice a month, and the staff schedule their own sessions. For a programme of a few months, attach a contract to the membership on Studio Max, which the member signs when they buy.
Weigh up commission, the contract and how quickly a client can find a time. Avana takes no commission, you can leave any month, and clients book without a password in the browser or the app. Your monthly cost is set out in the pricing section. Coming from another system? We transfer your members and their credit for free, and there's a step-by-step guide to switching from Mindbody.
Run bootcamp or HIIT or HYROX sessions alongside personal training? They go on the same timetable, for the same members. Every type of studio Avana covers is on the studio software page.
Good personal trainer booking software lets a client choose a time with a trainer who is free, pay at once or book from a pack, and puts small groups on a timetable. Avana does all of that; private and duet sessions come with Studio Plus and Studio Max.
Yes, on Studio Plus each trainer sets their free times per weekday in Avana. A client picks a slot in the coming weeks and pays or books from a pack, and one trainer can't be booked for two sessions at once.
In Avana you decide how many sessions a pack holds and how long it's valid. Each booking takes one off, and the client sees in their account how many are left. On Studio Plus a duet can share a single pack.
| What to look for | Why it matters | What Avana does |
|---|---|---|
| Clients pick a time | Messaging back and forth about times eats hours every week. | Free slots per trainer that clients choose from, on Studio Plus. |
| Duet and small group | Training together is cheaper for clients and more fun. | Duet sessions, shared credit and small groups with a low cap. |
| Session packs | Plenty of trainers sell ten or twenty sessions upfront. | Packs that count down by themselves, with an expiry date you choose. |
| Coaching | Results depend on what happens between sessions. | Goals, weekly check-ins and a plan per member, on Studio Max. |
Try a week free with your own sessions and packs. Keep going only if it works for you, and your clients come across free of charge.
