Gift recipients stay on your radar
Sophie came in December with a gift from Lisa. The client record shows what you did, so in February you still know exactly which colour it was.

Avana lets your salon sell digital gift vouchers on your own booking page, with the buyer paying at purchase. Gift vouchers come with Business Plus, so the money is in before the treatment, and whoever redeems one is often a brand new client.

A gift voucher is paid for before you do any work. Avana handles the code, the balance and the expiry date for you.
The buyer pays when they buy, and the money comes through with your normal payouts. The treatment follows later, sometimes months later.
Whoever receives it has usually never been to you. You pay nothing for that introduction, and they arrive already keen.
No paper vouchers, no box under the desk, no list of numbers to keep. It's all in Avana.
You choose the amounts and how long they last; buyers pay on your booking page and the recipient gets a code by email.
Set up a few fixed amounts, for example £25, £50 and £100, and decide how long they stay valid. You can offer up to six, from £5 to £500.
On your booking page the buyer picks an amount, fills in the recipient's details and pays. The recipient gets the code by email straight away.
The client enters the code when booking online and the amount comes straight off the total. If the treatment costs less, the rest stays on the code for next time.
People redeeming a gift are often coming for the first time. Because it all sits in the same Avana as your clients and your loyalty card, you have everything you need to turn them into a regular.

With the loyalty card switched on, the visit paid with the gift earns a stamp right away, which is an instant reason to come back.
If you add the booking button to your website, you choose whether a gift button sits next to it. People browsing your site can buy without searching.

In Avana you set up a few amounts, and from then on anyone can buy a digital gift voucher on your booking page, including evenings and weekends. The buyer pays straight away and the recipient gets it by email with your salon name on it. Gift vouchers are part of Business Plus.
The buyer pays at the moment they buy, and the money is paid out with your other online payments, even though the treatment happens later. That's exactly why so many salons push them in December.
The balance stays on the code and the client uses it on a later visit. Avana shows you which codes still have money on them and how much.
Yes. In Avana you set the validity in months and the expiry date is shown with the code, so it's clear how long it lasts. You can change the amounts and the validity at any time.
Gift vouchers are part of Business Plus, which costs £28.99 a month, VAT included. The comparison on the pricing page shows exactly what each plan includes.
The recipient enters the code when booking online and the amount comes straight off the total. It applies to services and add-ons, and the balance is deducted once the booking is paid, so nothing can be used twice and there's nothing for you to track.
Usually, because the recipient is often someone who hasn't been to you before. Their details land in your client records after the visit, so you can invite them back later.
When a client pays online, a small service fee is part of the price they see from the very first screen: 3% of the booking, at least £1.49 and at most £2.29. You pay nothing on your takings, because Avana charges no commission. That small amount from the client is what lets us pay you out in full, so the whole treatment price stays with you.

Avana lets a salon sell digital gift vouchers online. You set the amounts and how long they're valid; the buyer pays on your booking page and the recipient gets a code by email with your salon name. The buyer pays at purchase, before the treatment happens, and any amount left after a booking stays on the code for a later visit. Gift vouchers are part of Avana Business Plus: £28.99 a month, which is £0.95 a day.
A salon gift voucher is one of the few things that brings in money before you've done any work for it. Someone buys one for a birthday or the holidays, the money is with you, and the treatment comes later. December is the big month for most salons, but there are birthdays all year round.
The second benefit is easy to overlook: the person receiving it has usually never been to you. You get an introduction you didn't pay for, arriving because someone they know recommended you. After the visit their details are in your client records, so you can invite them back, for example with a campaign or the loyalty card.
In Avana you set the amounts and validity, sell through your booking page and the client redeems the code when they book online. For that, online payments need to be on. Any balance stays on the code, and your invoices stay in order. This comes with Business Plus; the pricing page shows what else that plan includes.
A digital gift voucher is credit that someone buys online from your salon and gives as a present, with a unique code the recipient enters when booking. No paper, stamp or box under the desk. It suits any salon where people like to buy for someone else: hair salons, nail studios, beauty rooms, massage practices and lash studios. If you work alone, it helps that sales happen on their own while you're with a client or already at home.
In Avana your gift vouchers sit on your own booking page next to your services. The buyer picks an amount and pays online, the recipient gets the code by email and books later. You see in one list what's been sold and what's left on each code.
It takes a few minutes in your settings. Switch the option on, enter the amounts buyers can choose from (up to six, from £5 to £500) and choose how many months a code stays valid after purchase; twelve is the default. Save, and they appear on your booking page.
You can also send the recipient the code by text as well as email, which uses one text credit per gift. One thing needs to be in place first: online payments, because the buyer pays online. The money from each sale comes in like any other online payment and is paid out with the rest.
On your salon page, from the gift section. The buyer chooses an amount, fills in their own details and the recipient's, can add a personal message and pays online. A small service fee is shown in the price before they pay, and the full face value of the gift goes to you.
After payment the recipient gets an email with a unique code starting with AVN-, your salon name, the expiry date and a link to your page, and the buyer gets a confirmation. If you have the booking button on your website, you can show a gift button next to it. Put your link in your Instagram bio as well, so last-minute shoppers can find you.
Choose amounts that match real services, and let people know you have them. £50 that covers a gel manicure with nail art, or £75 for a facial, sells more easily than a round number that doesn't match anything. Add a small amount for people after a little treat and a larger one for a proper pamper session.
Mention them when people are shopping for presents: before the holidays in December, around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, and for birthdays all year. A story on Instagram with your link often does the job. Anyone who comes in with one is then in your client records, so you can invite them back later.
