Delete account

Want to close your Avana account and have your data removed? This page explains exactly how to do it in the app, what to do if you can no longer sign in, which data we delete and what we are legally required to keep longer.

About the app

App: Avana (scheduling and booking app for salons).
Developer: Sweeber Technologies B.V., Torenlaan 5b, 1402 AT Bussum, Netherlands.

You can have your account deleted in two ways: by yourself in the app (recommended) or, if you can no longer sign in, with a request by email. Both routes lead to the same deletion.

1. Delete your account in the app

The fastest way is to do it yourself in the app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Avana app and sign in to your account.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Open the Account tab.
  4. Under the Delete account heading, tap the Delete button.
  5. Answer the short questionnaire and tap Delete account.
  6. Enter your password, type the word REMOVE in the confirmation field and tap Delete account.

Your account and data will then be removed as described under “Which data is deleted”. This action cannot be undone.

2. Can’t sign in? Delete by email

If you can no longer sign in, you can send a deletion request to support-nl@getavana.com. Please include in your message:

  • The email address of your Avana account.
  • The name of your salon (so we can locate your account).
  • The sentence: “I would like my Avana account and data to be deleted.”

To prevent abuse, we may ask you to confirm your identity before carrying out the request. Once confirmed, we will delete your account within the timeframe stated below.

3. Which data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we erase the data linked to your salon:

  • Account and login: name, email address, phone number and your encrypted password.
  • Business profile: business name, address, description, photos, opening hours, policies and automations.
  • Locations: all venues you have added.
  • Appointments and calendar: all your appointments, blocks and holiday periods.
  • Customer data: customer contacts and notes built up from your appointments.
  • Reviews, discount codes and gift cards linked to your salon.
  • SMS logs and transactions belonging to your account.

What we keep longer

Some data may not be deleted immediately because the law requires us to keep it:

  • Invoices and accounting records: 7 years (statutory tax retention obligation).
  • Security and error logs: up to 12 months, then automatically deleted.

Your actual payment details are not held by us but by our payment processor. They are processed in accordance with that provider’s terms.

4. Processing timeframe

Your account is deactivated immediately. The associated personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to keep longer (see above).
